About Dr. Chotiprasidhi
Dr. Chotiprasidhi was born in the US but grew up in Thailand. He received his medical degree from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. His internal medicine residency was done at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York and he completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Oklahoma University Health Science Center. After fellowship, he was on clinical staff as assistant professor at Southern Illinois University and University of Michigan. Dr. Eddie elected to pursue an additional year of specialized training in advanced endoscopy (including ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound), providing expertise in biliary and pancreatic disorders along with staging of certain gastrointestinal and non-small cell lung cancer. He also can perform the ablation procedure for Barrett’s esophagus, known as HALO.
Dr. Chotiprasidhi has been practicing gastroenterology in the Quad Cities area since 2004. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the Rock Island County Medical Society, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Physicians.
